Senior Software Engineer Kevin Vig and World of Warcraft Executive Producer Holly Longdale spoke to VentureBeat about the development of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic.

According to the authors, they know this sourcebook is the most popular in the Warcraft community, so they are "doing the best they can". However, you want the social aspect to be the priority. For this reason the plugin will not automatically search for groups. In return, the authors will simplify the manual search system.

The plugin is developed by part of the team that developed it in 2007.
If you are transitioning from Burning Quest Classic to Wrath of the Lich King Classic, there will no longer be a separate Burning Quest Classic "Alter" server. The developers don't want to split the community into groups.
The Season of Mastery will only appear in the Sourcebook if players request it.

The balance of the game in Wrath of the Lich King Classic will be based on the 3.3.5 update, which the authors consider the most successful. As a result, the death knights will not be as powerful as they were at the time of WotLK's release.
Players do not need to download an advanced character to play as a death knight. The course will be available to everyone in a preview update.

The interface is updated with some modern touches. For example, players can freely move their elements.
The in-game overworld animations will not be redesigned.
Blizzard is also considering adding cross-faction play to classic mode, changing team difficulty, and improving loot. The final decision will be made based on the players' wishes.

Wrath of the Lich King Classic Edition will be released in 2022. In addition to the Death Knight, players will have access to the Inscriptionist profession and level 80 characters. The Witch King sourcebook will be in beta testing in the coming months. Check more at https://www.wowwotlkgold.com/
